I Have A Tribe :: After We Meet

http://nialler9.com/i-have-a-tribe-after-we-meet/

I'm thoroughly enjoying composing and performing music which has been a pleasure to share with u here on Instagram but just a reminder that I'm equally as passionate about receiving, observing and listening to the music of others, and will be creating one music documentary /music video per month over on my Patreon channel until the end of my days (the link for which is in my bio) Please consider joining me there for as little as one schilling per month, where you'll have unlimited access to the last three years of films that I've created, and be notified of all future music-film endeavours.
There are no words for how special this felt. What a truly gorgeous night. Not the most professional video document here but it's definitely one the most special to me. My first headline gig in a 12 year long hiatus was such a beautiful success. Thank you to @kilkennyartsfestival and everyone that attended, who laughed, cried and sang along. I can't wait to do this again soon as possible!
Watch the full version of me performing my song 'The Most Colourful Thread In The Loom' on my profile page, as part of a series of live performances I'm releasing there.
This is a song that was born out of the most grievous circumstances, the loss of a life. My wife and I found a way to fill our lives where there was suddenly a blank space. We created. I began to create music and she took to weaving. In the practice of making, we began to heal. Today my close friend lost his mother, and I sing this version for him, for her, and the space that is now in-between them. A thin veil. There she now sits in the Dreamtime, where she watches out for him, and lives on through every fibre of his being. Guiding his hands. Steering his heart. Her life is his life now. Wishing him all the love and strength in the Universe today ❤️
